Guest Conductor: symphony orchestras (see sample repertoire list under "Vita/Bio"), jazz ensembles, concert/symphonic bands, choral ensembles. Performance repertoire may be selected from ensemble programs and/or from Dr. Pond's compositions and arrangements.

Dr. Pond is the founder and conductor of the Nachtmusik Chamber Orchestra, an ensemble specializing in music of the Eighteenth Century (including the late Baroque and Classical eras), with performers dressed in period costume. He has appeared as a guest conductor of music in these styles, dressed in powdered wig, waistcoat, etc. Such performances have been enthralling for performers and audiences alike.

As director of professional and educational jazz ensembles, Dr. Pond has directed performances of many jazz standards, popular styles, and his own jazz compositions. He sometimes also performs as a trumpet, flugelhorn, and EVI (electronic valve instrument) soloist in performances under his direction.

Marden Pond appears frequently as Guest Conductor with internationally acclaimed concert pianist, David Glen Hatch. Drs. Hatch and Pond have performed together in national tours with professional, community, and educational orchestras and choirs. Music for these performances has included selections from their collaborative CDs on the Covenant and Music Enterprises labels -- comprising patriotic music, Christmas selections, or selections from the standard piano and orchestral repertoire.
