Lectures: Marden Pond is in demand for lectures on many different topics pertaining to music, aesthetics, the humanities, and the fine arts. He was named Teacher of the Year for his lectures in the national Elderhostel program offered by Utah Valley State College. Topics for his presentations have included (but are not limited to): "Elements of Electronic Music," "The Creative Process," "A History of Jazz," "Valuing Music: Musical Aesthetics," "Music for Theatrical Dance," "Music For Film," "Music & Musicians of Utah," "Literature of the Season," "Musical Form," "Works In Progress;" as well as the other specific aspects of music theory, ear training, form & analysis, orchestration, composition, counterpoint, music history & appreciation, jazz studies [history of jazz, jazz improvisation], music education, music for children, music technology, digital audio recording, humanities, etc.
